Central Jersey Speedway)
Dix Speedway (aka: New Egypt Speedway) was built as a dirt track in the
1950's and paved in the 60's. The Fort Dix name gave way to New Egypt
Speedway, then later Central Jersey Speedway before continuous yearly
action stop in the
1980's. The track would open back up occasionally, lastly for a short
season in the early 1990's.
Grosso bought the old New Egypt paved track from the Grabac family in
the mid 90's. At first many East Windsor Speedway racers would make the
drive down route 539, as New Egypt now once again offered area fans two
nights of dirt track racing as the Flemington Fair Speedway was paved in
The speedway was enlarged and reconfigured three
times under the Grosso family, to end up a small 1/2-mile "D" shaped clay speedway that
would once again be in continuous operation since 1998.
Miscoski & Fred Vahlsing then purchased the speedway from
the Grosso's, and after their second season, put down new red clay and
widened the speedway. New Egypt is currently a 7/16-mile clay surface
D-shaped speedway. In
2013, Fred Vahlsing became sole-owner of New
Egypt Speedway was the last dirt speedway in New Jersey that featured DIRT Modifieds,
and both of the World of Outlaw touring series.

537W for 5 miles. Left on Route 539 (South). Track is 3 miles down on
East to NJ Turnpike North to Exit 7A. Follow directions from NJ Turnpike
Delaware Memorial Bridge to NJ Turnpike North. Follow directions from NJ
In NJ, 295 North to Route 70 East. Stay on 70E for approximately 25
miles to Route 539. Left on Route 539 (North). Track is 6 miles up on
NE Philadelphia/NW Jersey:
Route 78 East into NJ to Route 31 South, approximately 30 miles to Route
95 North. 95N will become 295 South. Stay on 295S to Route 195 East
(Shore Points) to Exit 16A (Route 537 West). Stay on 537W for 5 miles.
Left on Route 539 (South). Track is 3 miles down on left.
Garden State Parkway (Belmar area and North Jersey):
GSP South to Exit 98. 195 West to Exit 16. Left at exit ramp traffic
light onto Route 537 West. Stay on 537W for approximately 5 miles. Left
on Route 539 (South). Track is 3 miles down on left.
Garden State Parkway (Atlantic City area and South Jersey):
GSP North to Exit 58 (Route 539). Route 539 North approximately 25 miles
to speedway (on right).
Toms River/Seaside Heights:
Route 37 West to Route 70 West to Route 539. Right on Route 539 (North).
Track is 6 miles up on right.
