World of Outlaw Sprints Roar Into New Egypt Speedway Tuesday, May 24th; Can Daryn Pittman Make Four Consecutive Victory Lane Appearancesfirstname.lastname@example.org
New Egypt, NJ – “The Greatest Show On Dirt” the World of Outlaw Craftsman Tool Sprint Cars are headed for their only New Jersey appearance of 2016 to New Egypt Speedway on Tuesday, May 24th. The stars will hit the 7/16th mile oval to cap off their northeast assault after visiting the Pennsylvania 410 sprint region. True Outlaw Kerry Madsen has been on a tear with back-to-back victories at Ohio’s Eldora Speedway but all the drivers will be chasing defending race winner Daryn Pittman.
It’s no secret Pittman has New Egypt Speedway figured out. For the past four years he’s landed in Victory Lane each of the times he’s raced there (Jersey Rush 2012 and the Outlaws 2013, 2014, 2015). However, last year’s World of Outlaw victory was the closest he’s come to finishing second as a hard charging Donny Schatz looked to rain on his parade. But in the end it was Pittman, who stated he wished there were more races at the Ocean County speed plant, who waved the checkers through falling confetti in Victory Lane.
This year’s competition again looks to be tough for Pittman. Defending champion Donny Schatz seemed to have a better grip on the tricky New Egypt configuration and Joey Saldana set a new track record during time trials followed by a solid eighth place finish. Both will be in attendance along with fellow Outlaw superstars Brad Sweet (their current point leader), Shane Stewart, David Gravel, Jason Johnson, Jason Sides, Paul McMahan, Logan Schuchart, Jacob Allen, Kerry Madsen, and more.
Always giving the Outlaws a run for their money on their northeastern swing are the ferocious PA Posse members. For the second year in a row the Speedway has posted a “Posse Bonus.” The first PA Posse member across the line will receive a $250 bonus but if a Posse member can beat the Outlaws, they will score a $500 bonus. Last year’s PA Posse bonus winner was the always in contention Greg Hodnett.
Not to be left out, the Speedway also has lots of giveaways planned for the event for the fans. The first 50 fans through the front main entrance will receive an event poster. Throughout the night the track’s Miss New Egypt’s will be tossing Frisbees signed by all the drivers and the fan who catches the feature winners Frisbee will receive two free General Admission tickets to the USAC Wingless Sprint event on Thursday, June 9th. The Miss New Egypt’s will also be tossing t-shirts courtesy of Route 1 Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and two lucky fans will score tickets to PST ‘s Summer Fest concert staring Fifth Harmony courtesy of AEG Live Events.
Pit gates will open at 2 pm, will call will open at 3:30 pm, grandstands will open at 4 pm, hot laps will begin at 6:30 pm, and racing starts at 7:30 pm. General Admission tickets are $30, reserved tickets are $35, teens 12-15 are $15, and children 11 and under are free. Pit admission is $40.
