ANOTHER ONE: RAIN ONCE AGAIN CLAIMS A SATURDAY NIGHT AT NEW EGYPT SPEEDWAY
NEW EGYPT, NJ – Another One.
For the fifth time in two months, mother nature forces a cancellation at New Egypt Speedway.
Overnight rain into Saturday morning pushed the speedway beyond repair with more isolated thunderstorms on the way throughout Saturday.
“We had hopes May would be better to us than April was,” Vice President of Operations Chris Moore proclaimed. “We did get some races in, but obviously this still isn’t what we’re hoping for.”
Maybe June will be better, that’s all we can hope for.” Moore concluded.
Attention turns to the month of June and another full night of racing for the D-shaped 7/16th mile oval.
The Modifieds headline the night of racing along with another visit from the Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series 305 Sprint Cars on Saturday, June 7.
The Swagger Factory Apparel Crate Sportsman, Four Cylinders, Northeast Wingless Sprint Cars, and Fastline Performance Rookies complete the program.

For the June 7 event, pit gates open at 3 p.m. with the grandstands unlocking at 4 p.m. Hot laps begin at 5:30 p.m. with racing to follow at 6:30 p.m.
Grandstand admission is $23 for Adults, $20 for Seniors, and $15 for Military w/ID and Teens 12-15. Kids 11 and under are admitted FREE.
Pit admission is $40 (w/o a license) and $30 (w/ a license).
