CANCELED: NEW EGYPT SPEEDWAY CANCELS TONIGHT’S VISIT FROM URC, WILL RESCHEDULE MR. CRATE CLASSIC

NEW EGYPT, NJ – Canceled.

Tonight’s event at New Egypt Speedway has been cancelled. An uncertain forecast combined with the traveling United Racing Club (URC) 360 Sprint Cars, the decision to cancel has been made.

“Unfortunately, uncertain forecasts force us to make difficult decisions,” VP of Operations Chris Moore stated. “With a traveling series bringing guys from further away, we felt this was the best decision for our racers and fans.”

The Mr. Crate Classic event will be made up at a later date. New Egypt Speedway officials and URC officials will meet on the potential for a makeup date in the coming weeks.

New Egypt Speedway resumes action next Saturday, July 26 for Oliver Communications Group Night as the Modifieds return to action with the Swagger Factory Apparel Crate Sportsman and Four Cylinders joining the action.

Additionally, the Modifieds will take part in Match Races, presented by Oliver Communications Group during the night.

For the July 26 event, pit gates open at 3 p.m. with grandstands unlocking at 4 p.m. Hot laps are slated for 5:30 p.m. with racing to follow at 6:30 p.m.

Pit admission is $30 with a license and $40 w/o one.

New Egypt Speedway also joins The Roost Restaurant on Tuesday, July 22 for a ‘Giveback Night,’ with proceeds going to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
