AUGUST 27TH PROGRAM CANCELLED AT NES; HUGE SHOW SCHEDULED FOR SEPTEMBER 3RD

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the August 27th program featuring the URC Sprint Cars, the ARDC Midgets, Larry's Hot Rods & Harleys NEWS division, and the Wash Wagon 4 Cylinders has been cancelled. The next program which will be presented at the famed Route 539 speedway will be on Saturday night, September 3rd as the first ever Union Night will be presented. A huge program is planned and to kick off the show, all Union members with ID cards will receive a $10 gift card courtesy of Flemington Department Store. In addition to the gift card each member will receive a ticket for a special drawing in which the winner will receive a $100 gift card to the store which has everything from clothing for the family to furniture. On the racing card will be the powerful Vahlco Wheels Modifieds, Larry's Hot Rods & Harleys NEWS division, the Freedom Firearms Street Stocks, and round six of the High Gear Towing Crate Select Series. Also on hand will be the vintage car club competing in a ten lap exhibition race. With only two points races remaining on the 2022 modified schedule, the race has definitely become a heated one as current points leader Brandon Grosso has seen his comfortable points lead dwindle down to a mere 41 points over Danny Bouc. Sitting in third is Louden Reimert with rookie Justin Grosso in the number four position. In addition to a big thirty lap feature for the modifieds, our partners at Oliver Communications and Oliver Construction will present the fan favorite Match Races. The top seven in points are already locked in with the remaining three spots going to the fastest three in the hot lap session that are not in the top seven in points. The winner of each race will receive $50 with the winner of the final shoot out taking home $500. Then during our First Responders Night on September 10th, Oliver Communication and Oliver Construction will present match races for the Crate division using the same format, $50 for each match race up until the final race where that winner will receive $500. Round six of the High Gear Towing Series will again see a full field of Crate competitors looking to add to their season points total in hopes of walking away with the championship worth $2,000. Joe Toth is the current points leader with Ryan Simmons, Johnny Bangs, Tom Princiotta, and David Burns, in hot pursuit. The racing action begins at 6 PM with hot laps scheduled for 5 PM. Gates to the grandstands swing open at 4PM. Further information on the 2022 season can be obtained by contacting the speedway office at 609-758-1900.
