BIKE NIGHT/RETURN OF ARDC MIDGET AT NEW EGYPT
A long time tradition at the Route 539 oval, Bike Night will take center stage on Saturday night. Several bikes have already been donated for children of all ages by M K Motorsports/I Paint N J, Larry Drake, Bill McCray, Miloszar Racing, 401 Racing and Sponsors, Carney's Quality Craftmanship, and WYRY Racing. The bike raffle will take place during intermission.
For the first time in nearly eight years, the ARDC Midgets will be making a return to the New Egypt Speedway. One of the oldest open wheel organizations still in contention, the group will compete in a pair of heat races before heading into their twenty lap feature. This event will serve as the kickoff to their 2022 campaign as the first scheduled event of the season fell victim to inclement weather.
The Vahlco Wheels Modifieds, Larry's Hot Rods and Harleys NEWS, Wash Wagon 4-Cylinders and the Rookies will round out the big night of racing. Current modified point leader, Brandon Grosso, will head a full field of powerful modifieds into a big thirty lap feature event. Stiff competition is expected to come from Cale Ross, 2020 champion Danny Bouc, Billy Osmun, Louden Reimert, John McClelland, and rookie Anthony Tramontana.
Coming off a big win, Doylestown, Pa's Heidi Hedin is looking to repeat in the NEWS 20 lap main event. Recording a pair of top three finishes prior to the popular win, those looking to detour her path to victory lane will be two time feature winner, Mick D'Agostino, three time champion Rich Mellor, Shea Wills, Al Cheney, Larry Drake, and Duane Nixon.
The popular 4 Cylinders will see Justin Dunn looking to make it three wins in a row. The defending track champion will be tested by the father and son team of Joe Garey Sr and Joe Garey Jr., Ed Ford, Bob Johnson, Isaac Elsner, and Penny Horner.
The rookie division has become a wide open chase for the title. After capturing the first two main events, David Miloszar has seen Logan Starr and Dominick Antonelli add their names to the winners list.
The concession stand and Snak Shak are open throughout the evening offering a large variety of tasty food, snacks, and beverages. The arcade booth and corn hole area are located off turn four and have become favorites of our younger fans in recent weeks.
Gates will swing open at 4PM with warmups scheduled for 5PM. Racing action will begin promptly at 6PM. For further information regarding our upcoming events, please visit us at newegyptspeedway.net.
