WASHED AWAY: CONSTANT RAIN FORCES FOURTH CANCELLATION OF NEW EGYPT SPEEDWAY IN 2025
NEW EGYPT, NJ – Washed Away.
Fan Appreciation Night at New Egypt Speedway will have to wait another day, as a week of rain has soaked the speedway grounds beyond repair.
After heavy rain throughout the week, with the potential for more over the next two days, management made the decision to pull the plug in the best interest of competitors and fans alike.
“With the SCDRA Four Cylinders coming from a long way we had to make a decision early,” Vice President of Operations Chris Moore explained. “The track is soaked, and we have more rain in the forecast today and potentially some on Saturday.
“This was just what was in the best interest of everybody, as much as we’d all like to race.”
New Egypt Speedway management and the SCDRA Four Cylinders are working on a potential date to reschedule the $2,500-to-win show.
“We were excited to see 40 Four Cylinders here,” Moore exclaimed. “It’s definitely disappointing to lose this show for now, but we’ll see if we can put something together for another night.”
Attention turns to Saturday, May 24 for Military Appreciation Night as part of Memorial Day Weekend.
The Modifieds return after their thrilling battle in which Pipersville, Pa.’s Danny Bouc emerged victorious from back on Saturday, May 10.
The Swagger Factory Apparel Crate Sportsman, Four Cylinders, and Fastline Performance Rookies (double features) are all on tap for the night of racing.

For the May 24 event, pit gates open at 3 p.m. with the grandstands unlocking at 4 p.m. Hot laps begin at 5 p.m. with racing to follow at 6 p.m.
Grandstand admission is $23 for adults, $20 for Seniors (65 and up), and $15 for Teens (12-15), and $10 for Ladies. Kids 11 and under are admitted FREE.
Military w/ID get in for just $5!
Pit admission is $40 (w/o a license) and $30 (w/ a license).
