HONORING A LEGEND: ‘BILL LIEDTKA MEMORIAL’ TAKES CENTER STAGE, STSS EVENT MOVED TO JULY 8
NEW EGYPT, NJ – Honoring A Legend.
With the postponement of the ‘Dirty Jersey’ with the Short Track Super Series, attention turns to the ‘Bill Liedtka Memorial’ this Saturday, June 28 presented by Xtreme Diesel Performance, LLC. (XDP).
The Short Track Super Series event has been postponed to Tuesday, July 8.
Bill Liedtka has more Street Stock wins than anyone in the speedway’s history with 43 amassed over the course of his career.
‘Wild Bill,’ as he was affectionately known, was a three-time champion in the Street Stock division in 2014, 2017, and 2019.
Liedtka was also the point leader before his untimely passing in June of 2024.
Now, New Egypt Speedway honors his legacy with a major event for the XDP Street Stocks paying $1,310-to-win the 31-lap event, with Liedtka’s familiar No. 310 in mind.
The event carries 25 show-up points for the XDP Street Stocks.
The Swagger Factory Apparel Crate Sportsman, Four Cylinders, and Northeast Wingless Sprint Cars (NEWS) join the Saturday night affair to honor Liedtka.
Tuckerton, N.J.’s Pat Force enters the ‘Bill Liedtka Memorial’ following his first career victory this past Saturday night. The win moved Force to third in the championship standings, four points behind Rob Ormsbee and Kory Fleming, who are tied for the top spot.
The Swagger Factory Apparel Crate Sportsman return to action for the first time since May 24 following cancellations due to rain in the dates in between.
Cream Ridge, N.J.’s Pat Wall sits atop the Crate Sportsman standings.
The Four Cylinders also return for the first time since May 24, with Bobby Drayton III atop the championship chase.
Mick D’Agostino paces the NEWS championship standings after his second win of the season this past Saturday night.

For the June 28 event, pit gates open at 3 p.m. with the grandstands unlocking at 4 p.m. Hot laps begin at 5:30 p.m. with racing to follow at 6:30 p.m.
Grandstand admission is $18 for Adults, $15 for Seniors, and $10 for Military w/ID and Teens 12-15. Kids 11 and under are admitted FREE.
Pit admission is $40 (w/o a license) and $30 (w/ a license).
